The Wheeling Park District is offering School District 21 students, in Grades K-5, an in-person program for remote Distance Learning. The purpose of this program is to provide children of working families a safe, supervised, and quiet environment to complete remote learning.

The Distance Learning Care program is held at the Community Recreation Center (CRC). Whenever possible, students have opportunities to go outdoors to eat lunch and take mask breaks. Group sizes are based on state guidelines for facility capacity, while maintaining at least six (6) feet distance between all participants.

Our highly-qualified staff is hired, trained, and supervised by the Wheeling Park District. Each staff member is CPR/AED and First Aid certified. Once registration is received, parents are e-mailed a Parent Handbook containing pertinent information and policies and procedures regarding the program.
